    Word! Or perhaps not, Microsoft....
Microsoft banned from selling MS Word in the U.S.

Interesting to see how this pans out

I just read the article and already forget the other company's name.

That being said, all it will take is a little Microsoft love (read: money) and all will be swell.

    Kind of funny though!

Oh, it's a total money grab. And Microsoft has already thumbed its nose at the ruling. Expect to see Office for sale at a retailer near you tomorrow

I read the article too, went to tell someone else the story 5 minutes later and also forgot the name of the other company. Apparently, not big enough to be a household name or easy to remember... Doesn't seem like microsoft care too much of the ruling according to the article.

whats ironic is that i4i only makes money for making stuff for word.

Microsoft will probably win on appeal or a check will be written, but I don't expect a check until the appeals heard

I have MS Office 2007 in my day job.. I hate it. They got rid of the familiar pull-down menus and introduced a crappy ribbon bar, with no built-in option to put the menus back. I've been using Word since 1990 or so,

I'd sooner take OpenOffice over Office 2007 any day.
