    WebMerge 2.6b1 available
The latest version of WebMerge is available for testing:
    http://www.fourthworld.com/products/...load.html#beta

    What's new in v2.6:

    - CSS support has been added to tables. You can now specify CSS classes for the table, row, and cells with the TableClass, RowClass, and Cell class tags, respecively.

    - The new WM-BBCode tag allows you very simple BBCode syntax in your database fields to describe web content.

    - Improved performance of the modulo operator for the WM-If tag.

    - WebMerge now handles pagination of index files more robustly with some combinations of settings.

    - Improved FTP Settings window in both appearance and functionality.

    - Fixed bug in which index number serial numbers weren't padding correctly if the padding options were chosen.

    - Added better error-checking in the Sources tab setting delimiters.

    - Various minor bug fixes. All reproducible issues have been addressed for this release.

There will likely be some other minor enhancements before the next beta, but this version addresses some issues with v2.5.2 so I wanted to make it available ASAP.

Please send any bug reports to webmerge@fourthworld.com

    Thanks!

This version seems to be very interesting
Finally we have a method to format text.

Version 2.6b1 include the "rawWithBR" tag?
    It seems that not.

We have noticed that it does not work: Help -> WebMerge Help...

    Problems with the WM-BBCode tag:

With the attached database, the tag [WM-BBCode: New] produces the result [WM-BBCode: New].

v2.6b1 addresses such a wide range of outstanding issues from earlier versions that anyone using WM for anything other than processing BBCode output (most folks <g>), it's well worth testing.

The WM-BBCode issue was likely just an issue with a late-stage change to my build process. We have exactly one customer who needs this, so it didn't get as much internal late-stage testing as more commonly used features like the new CSS support for tables.

Once I get your email report I'll reply with a link to a custom build for you to confirm before I make installers for a complete b2.

The "rawWithBR" tag is even more exotic, but I'll try to slip that into b2 along with a couple other goodies. Also in b2 will be a way to make the ellipsis on truncated text optional.

Your submitting bug reports via email will be much appreciated, as it ties in far better with my tracking and workflow. Thanks.

Downloaded and am running 2.6b1 beta. Tools menu is inoperable. All other menus are working fine so far. Preferences do not display completely either.

That's it for now. Will keep you posted.
