    Possible to make just plain image and text link for a product?
    Hi Gary or the person who reads this
    Have a dummy question for ya. Was gonna send ya an email but then thought well....maybe somebody else might be thinking the same thing (uhh kinda doubt it lol but just in case)

    Am not sure if there's a way using the "Product ad widget" I can do this or not but am just umm too much of a non computer smarty (nice way of referring to myself as a dummy lol ) All I'd like to do is just have a plain ole product image link and plain ole text link with "More info" and then I can fill in the content myself to place a product on my page.

    Is there a way for me to do that? If so, I'll ask somebody for help figuring it out. I realize most people use just the datafeeds and I'm even using a few of yours (cos yours are the only ones with BurgerBoy's help that I've been able to figure out how to do outa all the networks ) I just pick and choose myself which products I wanna put on my site individually tho so is easier for me just doin it the way I'm doin it.

    The easiest tool for you to use would be the Custom Link Builder tool (click "Tools" on main menu, then "Create a custom link"). You could use the image reference from the merchant, for the product you're linking up. Then wrap that image with the link code we spit out when you configure a custom link.

    Here is simple html markup you could use for this (would just have to substitute out the link code, and the img url reference for what you need):

    <img src="http://MERCHANT IMAGE URL" border=0><br>
    <a href="http://AVANTLINK TRACKING URL">More Info</a>

    You can use what we provide for the href linking code, just be sure that you add "More Info" in place of what we provide by default when you get the code.

    You could also make the product image a tracking link as well with:

    <a href="http://AVANTLINK TRACKING URL">
    <img src="http://MERCHANT IMAGE URL" border=0>
    </a><br>
    <a href="http://AVANTLINK TRACKING URL">More Info</a>

    Hope that helps

    Just responded.

    What you have is working fine. As long as you replace the comments/placeholder we deliver (this: <!-- Put your text or image link here -->), with the text or image you want to link up, it'll work.
