Are the End of Well Paragraphed Posts, Near?
    BEFORE!
    DO NOT READ!

    This is not a joke!

Ever since I joined ABW about six years ago, I have noticed some people

still talking about bad grammar, bad sentences, bad English translations,

long non paragraphed posts, misspelling, etc, etc...

    But...

While I can agree that any long post without any brake in between

paragraphs can be very annoying, and sometimes even ignored, I can't agree

with those that complain about misspelling on some words, that some non

natives may have on their post on a forum; Hell, even well versed people

around here, sometimes make a few posts with a couple of words spell

    incorrectly...

But anyway, this post is not about any of that miscellaneous stuff,

because since I am trilingual, I can't worry too much about some

misspelling, or the left or right possition of a word, I post on a

    forum...

    For example:

In Español, you would say: "El libro, azúl" - (The first time they taught

me about that, I didn't care about the color of the book, I just wanted to read, a good book...)

In English, you would say: "The blue, book" - (The first time they taught

me about that, I didn't care about who wrote it, all I wanted to know was

about UFO's, and when can I see one...)

In the other language that I know, I can't post that here, or any where

else, because it would be censored...

So by now you probably may be asking yourself, what do the title of this

thread {"Are the End of Well Paragraphed Posts, Near?"}, is all about?

    well...

Like I have said up there: "This is not a joke!"

And, if anyone think this was a joke, well... maybe this will be the punch

    line!

When it comes to reading posts, I not only read just the words on those

posts, sometimes I like to take a photographic mental image of some posts,

in order to make better posts myself later...

    But,...

Just like many people here may have had some issues with some posts made

by other members before, not because of the content of their post, but

because the way their post may have look at the time of reading it, I have

to admit that I have had to deal with those same issues, too... But I

never told anyone about it, before.

Forget about the big, long non paragraphed posts we have seen before, we

all know about that issue by now...

But how about this new paragraph trend, that no one here have mentioned

    yet?

I have seen those broken paragraphs made by others before, but not until I

got my new computer last December, and I started to post, that I started

to see the issues with the broken paragraphs...

I don't know if that have anything to do with Vista or not, but I can

almost swear that after reading reading and posting for over the last six

months, I think I can tell who is using Vista by the way their paragraphs

    look.

Hey, I am about to post this post, I am making this post on notepad now

(and it look well formate), I will not check it for misspelling or for who

comes first (the book or the color), but if after I paste this post on the

Midnight Cafe forum my paragraphs get broken, maybe I will post an example

of a paragraph before and after...

    ==============================

    AFTER the EDIT

After I posted, my original pasted post from notepad looked like , so I decides to edit just the spaces on those paragraphs here, at post time.

NOTE: I just give this post a Bad rating on the "Rate This Thread" thingy, it didn't came out the way I wanted... So I don't care if it gets deleted!

Ummm it's the Word Wrap Thingie in Notepad, perhaps?

I do a *lot* of article writing in Notepad. There are no distractions, no silly formatting options. Just you and your words.. kinda makes you think more carefully about them.

    Thank you, Dynamoo!

You're right, it's the Word Wrap set up in Notepad.

I usually make my posts directly on the reply box, and never have had a problem with the paragraphs formating, but since I have being having problem lately with my DSL getting disconnected, sometimes I make my posts on notepad first.

The main stupid reason I decided to open this thread was because I have noticed too many old members making posts with broken paragraphs, and since I discovered that sometimes my paragraphs looked like that after pasting from notepad, I thought it may have something to do with Vista, because I never saw that problem before...

At least I learned something new on this thread today... Always to check the default setting on every program, on a new computer, even if that program looks familiar, and everything looks like is working right, out of the box.

    Thanks again Dynamoo!
