Smile Hoe To Get New Affiliates?
Hi, I am Mahony, affiliate merchant from a reputed finance website, looking for affiliate publishers. We allow our affiliates to promote our website in whatever way they want except that the banners and forms should not be placed on porn, pharmaceutical and poker related website. Interested people can send me a PM asap.

You should seriously consider paying the $75 or so dollars to have your program announced in the new programs and announcements forum. I am sure it is well worth the trivial dollar amount and is also the suggested protocol here at ABW. An affiliate may assume if you cant afford a legitimate announcement your program probably isn't worth their time. And had you read the forum rules you would know you have no pm privileges as a newbie.

A hoe probably wouldn't work too good, but you might try a shovel!

Seriously, though, take a look at this thread:

is what you are offering a match for my followers/customer base? Do you offer quality graphics to lure in the customer and a website that is designed to convert the sale to help "close the deal" after i as an affiliate have made efforts to drive them to your site....incentives and fair commission are great too

    Hi Mahony,

I don't really consider the ABW new programs announcements to be an incentive but rather an introduction to your program and what it's about. If affiliates/board members are interested they will contact you. Affiliates will consider a number of things before signing up including everything BlogBonnieBlog mentioned above.

Also, "ease of use" - How simple is it to obtain new creatives? Can I make a request for an odd size banner if I need it? Will they email new banners and links as they become available?

Dedicated AM - Will someone be providing updates on industry specific news and/or topics that could help with content creation? Will they keep me informed of market trends and target market information to help determine where best to market my site?

Program Policies - Is this a fair program ran by an ethical merchant or should I fear losing commissions due to unethical practice? Do they allow PPC bidding? What is the toolbar policy?

A trusted Network - If they are with a network how prompt are payments? How reliable is the tracking? Do they require an escrow account?

AND conversion rates - What are they? (the proof is usually in the puddin')

"Mahony" hmmm isn't that an "Irish" name? Your grammar definitely looks ESL but not necessarily Irish, much less "Nevadian" .

That reads like an "ad" even in ESL translaton scripts ... "Mahoney", we don't like Baloney here - Beware!

Mahony? I thought it was Rachel? Sometimes it gets confusing keeping track of all the names, though.

Thanks a lot Lisa I'm becoming fan of urs.
I didn't know about all these points. Do affiliates ask for odd sized banners, than provided by merchants?
I've added you in my buddy list.

If you want to see what kind of incentives are out there, join the affiliate networks as an affiliate and you can go and see what is being offered to affiliates. I"d recommend having an "affiliate" account even if you are a merchant so you can make sure what you program in as a merchant is showing up properly for the affiliates.

A little research will show you what is going on in your industry.
