    Think Tank Poker Game
I will bring poker chips and cards and plan to have a Think Tank poker game. I will make sure to bring enough chips for at least 20 players. If a second dealer is needed, we'll figure out something. I will selflessly deal said game. Anyone who wants to play let me know in this thread. Any SAS merchant who wants to donate a prize to the winner should probably also post :-)

    This is what I'm thinking.
    Game should start 8:00 Saturday
No limit Holdem - no rebuys (which makes sense since no one is buying in to begin with
Each player will get 3000 in chips
Blinds start at 25 and 50 and goes up every 20 minutes until done
    Blind Structure
round 1. small blind 25 big blind 50 betting at 50 and 100
    round 2. small blind 50 big blind 100 100 and 200
    round 3. small blind 75 big blind 150 150 and 300
    5 minute break
    round 4. small blind 100 big blind 200 200 and 400
    round 5. small blind 150 big blind 300 300 and 600
    round 6. small blind 200 big blind 400 400 and 800
10 minute break removal of $25 chips
    round 7. small blind 500 big blind 1000 500 and 1000
    round 8. small blind 700 big blind 1500 1500 and 3000
    5 minute break removal $100
    round 9. small blind 1000 big blind 2000 2000 and 4000
    round 10. small blind 1500 big blind 2500 2500 and 5000
    round 11. small blind 2000 big blind 4000 4000 and 8000
round 12+ small blind rises by $500 and big blind goes up by $1000 until done.

I hope to run the game in a professional manner. :-)

Please note: this time I will deal clockwise, I promise ;-)

Two big fat books about serial killers, on that shelf?

On the middle of a poker game, how would one know if you're just bluffing, or simply planning your next cereal meal?

If later works better for every one then that'll be fine with me. We'll set the time and other details later, such as where will it be and gettign the proper table. I'm excited to try and run the game, I have been playing and watching poker for a long time, that this should be just as much fun for me as those who play in the thing.

I promise to bring enough chips and cards for 20+ players. (I haven't found any cards with cows on them, but I have some time to look ;-) I know we can have 12 players on a table, but if we have more then, we'll have to find a second dealer, I'm sure something will be arranged. Also, I'm hoping someone at SAS (voilunteer welcomed) can help me arrange to have a room reserved and tables set up for the game.

Reminder if you want to play in the poker game let me know by posting here. So far there doesn't seem to be enough people who want to play.

    P.S.
Anyone who is an affiliate of a poker chip seller PM me, I'm about to buy the chips for the game.

OK, the chips and cards are ordered and will arrive here Tuesday. I can handle a tournment of no more than 12 players (which doesn't seem to be a problem). So far from this post there are 6 confirmed (and 3 possible other) players:
    Michael Coley
    Jason Rubacky
    Howard Gottlieb
    Emilio Yepez
    Drummin Logan
    Rexanne
and possible 2 players from Carolyn and one more from Loxly.

Anyone else or who wants in let me know. I am psyched at the opportunity to deal the game, after the TT I'm off to LV to play in a few tournaments myself ;-)

The game has been moved to 9:30 PM Saturday by popular demand. Has anyone secured the prizes?
Also, anyone at SAS can you secure us a place to play with a table

I'd love to join in - I'm intimidated by the rules posted in the first post. Can I play along with a basic knowledge of poker or will I be completely lost and make a fool of myself?

    OK, that's 10 confirmed players
    Michael Coley
    Jason Rubacky
    Howard Gottlieb
    Emilio Yepez
    Drummin Logan
    Rexanne
    Trainsignal
    Anne
hblackburn (Don't worry, all it means is that the game will be proferssionally run...as best I can :-)
Daniel M Clark (messaged me in facebook so I don't know if this is someone else or one of the nicks listed above)

I am only bringing a chip set large enough for 12 players. So assuming we can find a table big enough to handle 12 players these 10 and the next 2 who ask first will play.

There is as of yet no prizes for the winner, as said before if a merchant wants to sponsor the game that is cool with me

Even if there isn't a prize or two, I'm sure a good time will be had by all, and I am certainly looking forward to dealing the game. I hope I learn something by dealign I can use when I go to LV after the think tank :-)

Since no one objected, I am assuming 9:30 will be a good start time for the game.

I'll play if there is space and if you can send me cheat sheet on how to play. I am assuming it is a 3 card poker game.
