    Lousy Linkshare Conversions
    Hi All,

I use PS Enterprise version on my sites, and while I get the occasional CJ purchase, my Linkshare numbers are almost nonexistent.
The LS store show up in the widgets, but nothing is happening.
I know I'm supposed to used the funny number from the aff links and not the id filed on the account setup.
Anybody else having trouble with PS and Linkshare stuff? The vendors are mostly sporting goods (mlb.com, sportsauthority, nbastore, nflstore, modells, etc.)

I see sales thru popshops for some LS merchants I have. What kind of numbers are you talking about exactly? For those merchants you just listed, how many hits have you sent each one, specifics.

I've had at least one sale a day for September with CJ, but none with LS.
As of Sept 5th, CJ has 11 sales for 927 clicks.
LS has none for 420 clicks.

It's hard to tell. Those 420 clicks, spread out among at least the 5 you mentioned plus etc., probably not enough traffic to gauge if something is wrong. Also, all those LS merchants you mentioned have coupons and usually thru links. So if you're doing mainly product links thru Popshops, it's hard to combine coupons with them. It's easier if they're code links, like 15% off with code 15OFF, because you can list that alongside the product links but if they're coupons thru a link, it's hard to combine those with products.

You could always do a test purchase to be sure.

I don't send a ton of traffic to LS thru Popshops but maybe some others do and share what they're seeing.

It's a pain to test with LS. With CJ, I can just add a new sub-id, and I'm OK with all the merchants. With LS (correct me if I'm wrong), I can add another sub-id, but I gotta sign up again with all the merchants.
BTW, the LS merchants are high-ticket names like mlb.com and nflstore.com. In the fan gear realm, these are top names, and my conversions are way better with the CJ merchants.

Interesting. I've seen decent conversions from CJ, SAS and LS recently but my Pepperjam conversions have completely vanished for the same timeframe.

Is this a recent drop in sales for LS or have you had consistent problems?

LinkShare had some problems with their server being listed in a major anti-virus software program, which resulted in clicks in some browsers leading to a warning page against the merchant. The thread is here: http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread...8&page=1&pp=25
