    Newbie with a question
    Hello all!
I am new to most of this so I apologize if I hit you with some elementary questions.

My question is this: I'm not real swift on html and the normal way of building websites. I found this company online that allows you to build sites with their pre-selected buttons, styles, and so forth in flash. It's really great for someone like me, but my problem has come with creating links to my merchants. So far, the only way I have been able to do it is when I take away the

There's only one way to find out...test it.

When you say, "test it", do you mean to simply click and see if it takes you to the site? Or is there another way to fully find out if you get the credit for the transaction?

    Thanks for your help!

click the link and check your Today's stats in ShareASale - it should show you if there your site registered a click.

I would check SAS's help center and type in "test". You will get info on how you can create your own links and test links.

You may also want to contact, or look into, the company offering the service, to make sure affiliate links are allowed.

For example, when you create a blog hosted on Wordpress.com, affiliate links are not allowed.

It sounds like you're going for a "hosted" solution (you bought the domain, they are hosting it for you), which is usually fine, just make sure you read the fine print to make sure they won't interfere with your site (display their own ads, etc etc.)

Either way, they should be able to provide some solid technical support. At the very least, click on the link yourself to see if it tracks (as a click).

    And welcome to ABW!
