    Blogging and AdSense Terms Violations
A while back I pointed out that if you used AdSense code within a blog post, and your home page showed more than 3 posts, then technically this is a terms violation. I decided to contact support on this and I finally got a reply. They said:

Thanks for writing in. Please know that AdSense publishers are allowed up
to 3 ad units, 3 link units and 2 search boxes per page.

If you do have more than 3 instances of code on your site, the additional
units will appear as blank spaces. This is also a violation of our program
    policies.

I suggest you only implement 3 units on your blog.

So there you have it. Either limit display to 3 posts (and use no Adsense in sidebars) or use AdSense in sidebars only. Or a combination that results in no more than 3 units.

Not to muddy the water but

....AdSense publishers are allowed up to 3 ad units, 3 link units and 2 search boxes per page..

to me that is 3 ad units + 3 link units + 2 search boxes. Am I wrong?
    Thanks,

Sounds like it depends on how you have your ads to display in your posts.

The 3 ad units + 3 link units + 2 search boxes is 8 Instances of Google per page.

Some adsense plugins allow you to turn off the display on the home page.

There are plug-ins that let you display ads every X number of posts, so you can tune it properly for your needs.

I don't think you are wrong because the key word there is "and"

Mailman, if you are talking about GAN, I had wondered that also with the switch of payment to Adsense. But, IMO, the TOS for GAN has not changed, therefore, there is no limit on how many links can be shown. It would be impractical for GAN to insist that there only be three merchant links per page.
I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Bud Lite than Kay.

That would be a separate issue I would think.

Thanks for the tip loxly on getting the plugin - I did not know such a plugin existed. That would solve everything.
