save money? they used to launch major software version changes in cities around the country. I traveled to Rochester twice because they gave pretty good loot.

Wow, the handheld camera was so pronounced it was making me sea sick.

Interesting, I imagine some people would stand in line to get it the first day. A party is not the worst idea. People really need to do things in person more often.

Maybe Windows 7 is made out of Tupperware or Candles? I'm not sure.

I'm all for interesting marketing ideas, but even being the geek I am I'm not sure I could gather friends for an operating system launch party.

Then again, if there was Grey Goose and GlenLivet...

Down here in South Texas, we have Oil Drilling and Exploration.

I love going to their exibitions & conferences at the AstroDome Complex.

I read on Fox it wasn't worth paying to upgrade to 7.

Hard to get too excited about Windows 7. When you think of the buzz generated by previous launches it's pretty low key. A sign of the times.

I was looking forward to Vista. Then got tired of all the issues and went back to XP. Think I'll stay here a while.

That would be a big step forward beyond the toothpicks and rubberbands that have held Vista together.

My grand daughters' pooter has Vista and I hate it.

I'm with Greg 100% on this one.

    XP runs just fine.

    I understand it.

I have heard that it is about the same. 2 gigs is recomended. But RAM is very cheap now. Might be a good time to jump if you are thinking about it.

I tried it a while back in the Release Candidates. I thought it was real good. But I have XP running perfect right now. Might wait a bit.

I have 2 gigs of ram and Vista runs ok with it. I was just wondering about it. I've never had any problems with Vista on my computer. It's a HP computer with a AMD processor.

My grand poopers' new Dell Inspiron came with Vista!

Just has an irritating feel about it.

    Guess it's a comfort thang!

Maybe I'm just getting old and afraid to try new stuff.
