    Happy Diwali
Happy Diwali to everybody celebrating. If you have not heard of Diwali, just go and learn from bing.com home page.

It is the most favorite festival of mine from childhood thru the years. This is one of the days I miss definitely not being in India. Though it is widely celebrated in many cities of Silicon Valley (as many cities have vibrant and strong majority of people from India here), it is nothing like being in India on this day.

Happy Diwali to everybody celebrating the festival of lights.

Diwali is pretty big over here, fireworks are one semi-traditional way that it is celebrated. It's widely enjoyed in the UK

    So.. Happy Diwali everone!

Well, I didn't knew what Diwali was until yesterday, when I saw that word for the first time on a post that vcommission made...

But, I didn't need to go to bing to learn about it, because my free WordWeb gadget, told me what it was...

Bing or Google wd have probably given a broader view than the watered down one liner from the thesaurus :-)

    Happy Diwali everybody.

I was about to admit guilt for not going to bing first...

But I just went to bing.com and I can't see were I can read about what is Diwali unless I search for that word...

Now I don't feel so stupid for the post I made, after all...

    -------------

    What bing, broader view?

Yep, those are search engines. You need to search for it.

    Happy Deepavali y'all.

The store around the corner from my house is operated by a family from Hyderabad. On Diwali they wish a happy Diwali to every customer as soon as they walk in the door, and of course nobody knows WTF they're talking about. I beat them to it my first year in this town and you should have seen the looks on their faces. Ever since then they've treated me like family; their "American cousin" lol.
