    Smile What has better SEO value??
    Hey guys and gals. I want to add some link juice to my Urls and want to know if you know of any difference as far as SEO value or anything else. What do the search engines like the best and why?

    1. domain.com/shop/3kj34kj34k34j/really-great-product-deal-blah/

    or

    2. domain.com/shop/really-great-product-deal-blah/3kj34kj34k34j/

    or

    3. domain.com/shop/really-great-product-deal-blah/3kj34kj34k34j.aspx

    or

    4. domain.com/shop/3kj34kj34k34j/really-great-product-deal-blah.aspx

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    I think they're all comparable. The product name earlier in the URL might have a very slight advantage. Other factors will have a MUCH BIGGER impact on SEO.

    The /3kj34kj34k34j/ is the product ID, which probably can't be reliably dropped. (What if two products had identical names?)

    True for Google. I think Bing and Yahoo still rely pretty heavily on the URL, inexplicably. Could be why they suck so bad.

    Thanks guys. That's what I was looking for. I create an automated feed and I can't drop the number but I can put the name anywhere I want. So what I'm hearing is that there may be a slight advantage to having the name before the number.

    How about having an actual page name with extension. Does that matter?

    I don't think that a pagename with extension matters on any of the engines!
