    Conversion guidelines/expectations
    Good morning.

I've been asked by a merchant to evaluate their affiliate program. They have tons of traffic, so I believe the problem is conversion %.

Does anyone have guidelines to share for conversion rate expectations/standards? What percentages are poor, average, good?

Without going into alot of details, price point is $10-$18, traffic is 500M/month.
    Thanks.

For that price point, I would look for a 5-10% conversion ratio from your most qualified traffic. Do they do PPC? What conversion ratio do they see from their best keywords? That's usually a good indicator.

An "average" conversion ratio isn't all that helpful, as the mix of traffic can vary tremendously and low quality or untargeted traffic will not convert well no matter how well a site is optimized for conversions.
