Would you promote Caskets if we sold that too?
Affiliates, I wanted to get your opinion if a good or bad idea, etc.

Would you promote Caskets if we sold that too?

Yes, a popular merchant friend wants to add Caskets to their store and already bought a good domain for it. And yes we all know Wamart just started selling them too.

Sure, I imagine that would be some nice commissions, some caskets look like they go for a few thousand. The people that don't want to, won't. The people that do, will. Not sure if this is your merchant but I was looking at castketsite and they pay 5-10% with caskets going for $3,000+, could be $300 commission a sale.

I personally wouldn't but I am sure there are affiliates out there who would.

A few years back I noticed that Costco carried them too on their site and that was the very first time I saw it in a store like that.

Why not throw in a coffin into your shopping cart while you are online Christmas shopping...

I've read about people who bought a casket for serious Halloween Party Decor, but I would think that such people are in a very small percentage.

I'm not sure how caskets would be promoted year round

If it is in the datafeed, I probably wouldn't filter them out, but I'd rather not.

Do they have any dual use caskets? I'm in the market for one that would serve as a firearms cabinet until the final need. It doesn't have to look like a casket to serve that purpose.

I grew up in a town known for selling caskets. My dad worked in their factory for 38 years. That paycheck fed and clothed me. So yes, I would sell them.

This has nothing to do with this thread but, I knew a lady who worked in their customer service department. She once had someone call inquiring about a large casket for an extremely overweight family member who had passed away. When she told them that it would have to be a special order and, of course, would cost extra, they said, "Never mind, we'll just turn her sideways." True story.

    Cool
if they are using a datafeed, or popshops, or GoldenCan I'd use it. Might even try for a domain name in a year or so.

i think if you helped affiliates with info on how to market them you might have something. I had never known you could actually supply your own casket until I moved to California and right there in a strip mall was a casket store. I thought it was a joke at first.

Death is a reality - people that run sites for life threatening illnesses, attorney sites offering wills and life planning would probably all be good target affiliates. Maybe even penny pincher sites - I know there is a pretty hefty savings when you do not go thru a funeral home.

There is a market for everything. If you have it affiliates will find a way to sell it. You just have to beat Walmart prices. ;-)

I just did a search and there are a bunch of casket affiliate programs already out there. I got 45,000 results. Might as well add yours too.

I'm sure that there are folks out there that would like to pick their own casket and would pre-purchase them....

Don't think many people will buy them for their dead loved ones and wait 6 weeks for delivery.

When my Mom died, picking a casket that we knew she would like was quite a chore.

We spent over $6000 on it if my memory is correct.

I think she might have liked to pick it out herself.

She knew she was withering away and had plenty of time to do it.

    Noun: Casket
    1. Box in which a corpse is buried or cremated
    2. Small and often ornate box for holding jewels or other valuables

    Casket: synonym = coffin

    I don't think I would sell a coffin, that I wouldn't test myself!

Don't even try to tempt me with a datafeed of coffins!

    Btw, why wait a year?

If you sell flowers or candles, you might as well try to add some "Caskets Coupons and Deals" into those sites...

I thought one don't need a Casket if go cremated. Wouldn't cremate the casket all together create too much ashes that won't fit in an urn?
