what percent of your comission/sales get returned or reversed
This is a very general question but I am seeing a rediculous increase in sales reversals and percent of my sales getting returned. in 2007 I was averaging 5% , 2008 25% and this year its up to a whopping 35%.

my main focus is very large retail sites who have at least $100 million a year in sales and they are all 5 bar advertisers.

it would be great if you could share your percentage of reversals for consumer electronics, apparel , shoes , computers and anything else.

also, can any one point me to any statistics on online store returns .

it would be very interesting to know if this is actually normal given the state of the economy ,or if i am being screwed by CJ and or my advertisers.

I forgot to mention this but i am generating 7 figure sales for my advertisers so my stats are pretty solid.

    Thanks

the averages vary by industry ... shoes have higher returns. otherwise, overall it should be less than 10%

I rarely see returns. I'd say my average is less than 1%.

    I think RedTagDeals explained it.

The problem is not reversals and such, but the SALES THAT NEVER GET CREDITED to you or end up in the non-commissionable file.

That is a different issue for a different thread.

Never did the math on that, but if I take Zappos out of the equation, the remainder of mine probably averages a little under 5%.
