    calling firefox experts
    When I view my website with firefox the "flash" does not play and I am missing the top 1/2 of the home page. The page looks good in IE.

    Is it my coding or am I missing a firefox plug in?

    can you post the link so we can see if it happens on our computers too? then you'd at least know if it is your particular machine or something with coding.

    I don't think I can post a link but I think it is ok to post the address, right?

    slowcookermate (dot) com

    The problem is on the home page. It should show a flash demo and a blue background.

    You are not pointing to the .swf file properly or it wants absolute urls.

    Try specifiying the link to your file instead to be http ://slowcookermate.com/SCM_home_graphic.swf

    i'm on a pc with firefox 3.5.3 and i see a blue page background but this text...

    " Slow Cooker Mate™ is a brand new style of slow .....coming home to. Click here to read more and order! "

    is floating in the middle of the two right columns and is in light white font.

    My firebug thingy says that it's being affected by #text at line 374 in your css with a top margin of 60 px which is probably about right as it's about that far down below your navigation so you might check that as well as what ladidah mentioned.

    Good luck!

    Try adding the code that starts with "embed" into the script that calls your movie. The code between "<add this code below>" comments.

    <object id="myId" classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="405" height="300"><param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
    <param name="quality" value="high" />
    <param name="movie" value="http://slowcookermate.com/SCM_home_graphic.swf" />

    <!-- .... add this code below ... -->

    <embed src="http://slowcookermate.com/SCM_home_graphic.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="405" height="300"></embed>

    <!-- .... add code above ... -->
    I tested in FF, Safari and Opera and it shows up. You may also want to format the text a bit on the right of the movie since different browsers show a slight shift.
