My Hours Are Now Officially Completely Bass-Ackwards - :-(
Been doing a lot of seo crap the last few weeks and the only time I can get focused and do repetitive stuff, is when my beautiful, blonde haired baby grand stinkers are asleep. -

During the day, my 8 yr old is in school and that means that I am my 3 yr olds only buddy....

Impossible to make changes to a ton of pages with all that Love around -

Now I'm working all night and into the next day, going to sleep about 4 in the afternoon ...

I'm eating breakfast at 2 o'clock in the morning .... ( I have the Captain Crunch right here to prove it ) -

I'm Prolly the Only One that has his ( or her ) hours all Bass-Ackwards trying to make a few extra bucks at any cost eh ?

I've worked weird hours most of my life. Supposedly they are bad for your health. But at least if your hours are consistent, that's better.

I used to work rotating shifts at an airline, messed me up big-time. Still feel the effects years later.

And when these multi-billion dollar internet companies have nobody available on the weekends or holidays... I really can't buy it. At all.

My days off from the 'real j*b' I spend all night working on sites. It's 4am in Ohio right now. I'll go to bed in about an hour. The problem comes when 'they' think I should show up for work at 9am two days from now and I've had almost 4 hours of sleep.

I get some of my best work done in the middle of the night.

Yup - I know exactly what you mean. Family and friends have a pretty good idea, after ten years, what is is that I do. But the neighbors - that's a different story. I wonder what THEY REALLY THINK it is that I do.

These days my hours are fairly normal. But a few years ago (before we had kid #3), it was not uncommon for me to work 9 to 5... Not 9 AM to 5 PM, but from 9 PM to 5 AM.

    I always work half days.

    8am til 10PM.

Oh wait, that's more than half.

I've been doing a better job relaxing on weekends though.....

What feels natural to me is something like 20 hours awake then 10 hours asleep.
This is all very well - and works for me - but it bears no resemblence to the regular dawn-to-dusk cycle.
Also, like another poster said, unusual habits seem to give off the impression that we're always lying around in bed doing nothing.

Sometimes, after a long day of work, I enjoy a nice glass or two of wine or beer. This doesn't create a good impression if visitors arrive in the morning. They'll be wondering why I'm half-way through a botle of wine at eight in the morning.

Just consider it "grape juice" with breakfast.
