What do you make of Merchants with Zero EPC?
Browsing through the Business category on SAS. Seeing some interesting merchants down the page but their EPC is at zero. Some of them are listed as being with SAS since 2005 - but no sales whatsoever? Isn't that weird?

Does it cost anything to keep a program going in Shareasale? Or do you just pay an itial fee? Not sure.

Some of the merchants haven't had commissionable sales for years. It doesn't make much sense for Shareasale to keep them in the system.

I just looked at one merchant, 02/13/2005 was the last commissionable sale, yet they are still online and you can join and put up links

You need to be able to contact the merchant to be sure. There are some programs listed that are closed. Visit the merchant's site and see what's there, see if you can contact them before adding any links when there is a very old "Last Commissionable Transaction" date showing. There is a monthly fee that they are charged, but I know that there are some corpses in there anyway.

So that merchant has been paying a monthly fee for over 4 1/2 years without getting anything from the program to make it worth the cost? That is stupid.

I don't think there was a monthly fee way back when and these older merchants were probably grandfathered in under those terms. Which would explain why SaS can't/doesn't remove them.
