Question Generate an even table in webmerge
For an index page, I want each [WM-Field:whatever] within my [WM-Record] to line up correctly. So say there are 20 records...I want there to be a table with 2 columns and 10 rows.

Is it possible to make webmerge do this? Webmerge on its own will just print everything out in a line going down vertically...what I usually do is put everything in a list and stylize it, but in this case I want a table.

    Any ideas?

Also does the mod function work correctly? I tried this:

    HTML Code:
    [WM-Record] [WM-If CurrentRecordNumber mod 2]wasmod2 <td>[WM-Field: linkname raw]</td></tr> [WM-Else] <tr><td>[WM-Field: linkname raw]</td>wasnotmod2 [/WM-If] [/WM-Record]
...and it spits out 'wasnotmod2' on every single record. That can't possibly be what should happen?

edit: even just doing a simple [WM-Record][WM-If IndexRecordCount mod 2]wasmod2[WM-Else]wasnotmod2[/WM-If] doesn't work on the OS X version...the whole thing says wasnotmod2

I AM THE SMARTEST MAN ALIVE.

I just learned the [WM-Record cols=2] tag and it solved the whole thing, negating the need for mod determining whether to end the table row or begin it.. You might want to publicize that extremely useful feature a bit more!!

I had no idea...been using lists and single column layouts the whole time.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just expanded the WebMerge FAQ item #9 to better clarify the use of the cols attribute:

Re. the mod operator: there was an issue reported for that which has been addressed in v2.6, which is in beta testing now. You can download v2.6b here:
