    I know i'm a totalt idiot at this, but i'm trying to set up a page just for fun.

    My problem is when i make a layer the text within "jumps" over a line, so it looks like:

    a

    b

    instead of

    a
    b

    my code looks like this

    <div style="position: absolute; width: 79px; height: 303px; z-index: 2; left: 104px; top: 186px" id="layer3">
    <p align="left"><font face="Verdana" color="#FFFFFF" size="2">Frokost</font></p>
    <p align="left"><font face="Verdana" color="#FFFFFF" size="2">Aften</font></p>
    <p align="left"><font face="Verdana" color="#FFFFFF" size="2">Selskaber</font></p>
    <p align="left"><font face="Verdana" color="#FFFFFF" size="2">Kurser </font></p>
    <p align="left"><font face="Verdana" color="#FFFFFF" size="2">Find os</font></div>

    can anyone tell me a nice and easy way to fix this?

    Try getting rid of the <p></p>'s, your text should default to the left.

    <div style="position: absolute; width: 79px; height: 303px; z-index: 2; left: 104px; top: 186px" id="layer3">
    <font face="Verdana" color="#000000" size="2">Frokost</font>
    <font face="Verdana" color="#000000" size="2">Aften</font>
    <font face="Verdana" color="#000000" size="2">Selskaber</font>
    <font face="Verdana" color="#000000" size="2">Kurser </font>
    <font face="Verdana" color="#000000" size="2">Find os</font></div>

    I know this is an older post...but you could try something like

    <style> p {display:inline} </style>

    to prevent all p's from creating new lines...
