Hmm, I never knew anything about the ABW Affiliate program. What did it compensate for? I see two different places, one where it says it compensated $0.05 per signup and one where it says it compensated $0.01 per post. I'm not sure I like either. I would rather have people signing up and posting because they wanted to, not because of compensation.

I could see running an affiliate program for selling private forums, but it would be a nightmare to manage. First, the sales process isn't online (and shouldn't be), so affiliate tracking would be a challenge. Second, we don't accept all applications for private forums. Third, who would manage it? I sure don't have time, and although we want to grow ABW, I'm not sure I would want to see it grow fast enough that we could afford an OPM to manage an affiliate program.

I just don't see the affiliate program coming back.

I was not aware either, but it sounds like a conflict of interest (both past and future). I agree with Michael's comments above. What a nightmare to manage and who would do it?

It was for selling banner ads as far as I remember ... but it died when the juice dried up to wooden nickels ... You all might want to ask Haiko.

I was cruising thru my SAS merchant list when it still showed up. So I thought I would find out if you were going to do anything with it.
