    Just a suggestion..

Would some of you consider making your sig line in such a way that the rest of us can tell it's not part of the post?

    Suggstions:

    _____
    -----
    ××××××××
    smaller font
    diffrent color

I hope this doesn't insult anyone, but...

When you (anyone reading this) design your websites, do you change the styles on the page to emphasize things - or to differentiate things? If so, then why not do it with the signature that thousands (see the page views for different threads) will read here?

Adding a line, or changing the text to italics, or making it smaller is pretty easy. What about some sense of style? Bold flashing red text may be a little over the top.

If your signature is long, it just takes up more space here, that could be used for posts. If you have some kind of manifesto, then put a link to it in your signature, rather than writing the whole thing for us to read over and over and over again.

    Sorry, I got carried away.

    Disagree somewhat with you Fred.

If it were up to me, (that sigh you hear is the sound of people thanking their various gods & goddesses that it isn't,) I'd block all HTML formatting from the text area, preformat any signature to a font halfway between the text & locations fonts & limit the sig to a max. number of characters.

Why? This is a discussion and in a discussion I prefer to let the words provide the emphasis, not HTML tricks. I prefer not to talk to someone who shouts, gets in my face or is overly dramatic, all of which we see done with the magic of HTML. Posts in a uniform manner are easier on my eyes, too.

Talk here, get creative on your site.

    Just my preference.
