Do any of you approve pings to sites that are not really related to your site?
I'm mostly curious if you think that the keywords used in the ping are more helpful for SEO?I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Bud Lite than Kay.

I don't generally approve pings. The backlink to your site is useful without the ping showing on your blog. If it is someone you don't mind the link from you TO them, then approve. Same with comments. If it is a good comment but a spam site, they get deleted too.
I may overmoderate my blogs, but they are mine and I can do that I get plenty of comments that are helpful and are fine with good sites that add value all around.Deborah Carney
