Want to turn a 35 page brochure into an eBook!
What is the best way to take a 35 page .doc brochure that I've been updating and giving away on my site for over 10 years and turn it into a free eBook?

I had it in .pdf for a year or so, but wasn't able to capture the email addys to add to my TipSheet Newsletter ( 100% pure opt-in ) and it did very little to create prospective sales of any kind.....

Are there some options that are better than others?

    Thank You in Advance!

Great question. We've been writing a book we're considering going "e" with, but I haven't dabbled in the e-book genre.

    So... <bump>

I have been considering some e-books as well and would really like to see some opinions here. A few of the e-books I have seen even come with an app that allows re-branding with different links (read sub-affiliate), I would like to learn more as well.

    WOW!

    That's a freakin' information overload! -

I know that there is an answer there, but choices stink in my old age.

I just stand there with my mouth open, mumbling to myself.

Can you recommend anything to convert a Word.doc into an eBook?

I don't mind cut and paste options either.

I'd like something that I can Brand in the header if possible.

I think you can do it with OpenOffice (free) and Adobe Acrobat as well.

I send out 10's of 1000's of them.

I want to be able to offer solutions for their problems, and can't do that without capturing a minimal amount of info ... primarily an email address.

Is there a way to do that with a .pdf?

Thanks for taking the time to show me that site.

I'm looking at these options and I don't think it is exactly what I'm looking for!

Where do all of these snake oil sales site get their eBook software?

    Am I just confooooosed?

Are those a different form of a .pdf file?

One of Trust's links even had a free .pdf creator. ( it's a download and if it's free, I'm sure that I would be promoting them in some fashion )

Maybe I should search for eBooks for dummies -

I'm sure there is an ebook about how to create ebooks.

Most ebooks are simply .pdf files. Use the print option in Word or Writer but set the printer option to be your pdf creator software.

I have seen some pretty snazzy ebooks that you can 'flip' pages but I think the creation of those would require the purchase of ebook creation software. It's been years since I looked for any, but it was in the mid $xxx.00 back then to buy a license.

Hey, Jimmie ... Google Up ...go look up Jim Edwards ...he has your answer somewhere, since he wrote his 'How To Write An Book 7 Days' ebook. Also, check out Jim Daniels. Somewhere on his site is some stuff on writing an ebook. there also should be some ebook type software on Clickbank.

Duh! Divide the book in to sections ... put each one up on an autoresponder to sequence thru email daily. Then just capture the email addess in a 'newsletter' give away page using an autoresonder. No problem, you get the list and they get the information.

Here's one better: Get a Wordpress Blog ...post the whole enchilada on the blog. Divide the information into 3 sections ... the top is fluff about what people will be reading about ... at the end of section one put up an Adsense or Context Ad banner.

Give section two a headline, then post it up and put another Adsense banner at the end of section two ... put a headline for section three and at the end put the last of the 3 Adsense banners you are allowed.

There should be a bunch of keywords in the body of the information, so you don't have to do much there. The headlines will target the specific keywords for Goofle.

The blog will allow you to get questions and you can register responders by email, so they can comment. Then just post up the link to the blog. Since the readers of the information more than likely have a problem to solve, let the Adsense advertisers solve it an pay you in the process. On the sidebar, you can have a link to get your own help.

Money for nuthin dude. Your too old for chicks.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but why don't you create a newsletter signup and offer the PDF as a gift for signing up? Almost all ebooks are now in PDF format. Do you have clickable links in the PDF back to relevant pages in your site? Like "here's where you can buy ...."?

I have the blog and I have a newsletter sign up.....

This is a targeted book that doesn't apply to most of my visitors ...

It's a free mold brochure..... that most of my home imp. visitors don't sign up for.

Just want to jazz it up after all these years.

I'll play with it more today and let you know what I find...

Thanks for all the help so far!!!
