The whole day????? Jeeeze, kinda sounds like something a dot company would do. We get a catered lunch at my office, that's about the extent of it. It doesn't sound quite as good as having a whole day off, does it?

The message is dated the 12th and they said they would be closing at 4 due to their christmas party.

Maybe everybody's hung over and forgot to change it.

My Christmas party involves me sitting at my desk, eating swedish fish. Mmmmmmmmm, swedish fish.

Thats odd, I called them about an hour ago and got a live person. There was no mention that they are closed.

McD's.

Got showered, dressed, and drove down there.

Asked the guy what liberal arts degree he had when he asked me if I wanted fries with it. He hadn't a clue. Broke up a couple in the lineup though.

Great meal.... I should be eating it for another three, four hours.

I am self-employed, and work at home. Maybe I should go open a beer or something?

CodeJocky-
That's one of my husband's favorite ironies of my life. Many people told me I would love the business world and something more along the lines of Engineering. My degree is in History and English with an emphasis on Native American Studies.

What got me here? A fascination with the Internet and coding that put me into a remote job for Sony and things went from there.

Christian has often told me I could have saved us a few years of living on grad school budgets if I would have gone computer science the first time around :-)

I should have added- I got myself through school by managing a Taco Bell - so I really do resemble that- I could see it happening to me which makes me smile

and what's wrong with a political science degree?!

why, you can always debate current affairs with the sociology guy working with you on the burger assembly line.
