I usually do SES San Jose (from this onwards SES San Francisco). It's good to catch up with people attending the show and catch the buzz in SEO a bit

    Great
Do everyone a favor and try to keep up with the dates of the shows and alert everyone in the events sub-forum.
I'm local to New York City so I am trying to keep up with the upcoming events in NYC.
It would be great if you did the same with the San Francisco events

Additional Feature of Affiliate Marketing Forum Thursday, March 25
It just came to my attention that there will be an "Affiliate Marketing Forum - Conference Day 3" free to all attendees on Thursday March 25, 2010.
Attendance at this first ever SES Affiliate Marketing Forum is free to all registered attendees and will be led by internet marketing expert and best-selling author Kristopher B. Jones, Founder and President of Pepperjam Network. Don't miss this unique opportunity to discover in-depth insights and practical advice from industry experts on how to take your affiliate marketing efforts to the next level.
    http://www.searchenginestrategies.co...-marketing.php
You can still register for the free Exhibit Hall and become a "registered attendee" for free
Additionally, if you would rather sign up for either the free exhibit hall or one of the more expensive passes which also have more benefits, the registration information is here:
    http://www.searchenginestrategies.co...n-details.html

If you live within commuting distance of New York City, I encourage you to attend this Search Engine Marketing & Optimization event.

If you feel like taking a trip to New York City, this could be part of your trip
There are many hotels in the area. I've actually been pleased with my results from using Priceline.com. I've stayed in hotels [booked through Priceline.com] that are walking distance to the Hilton: The Novotel New York Times Square, Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers, and the Sheraton Manhattan Hotel. I'm just offering a personal experience because I know that a room at the Hilton New York can be expensive and there are nearby, affordable alternatives. I've stayed in the above mentioned hotels, I enjoyed my stay, and the above three are examples of hotels within walking distance of the Hilton New York.

Last minute registration for the free exhibit hall is still possible; the chart says "Free In Advance" for the Expo Only Pass:
    http://www.searchenginestrategies.co...n-details.html

Since payment in general is discussed [for those who are interested in the advanced passes], it might be a good idea to register for the free Expo Only Pass by March 18th:
Payment by mail must be received NO LATER than March 18, 2010. If payment is not received by March 18, 2010 ...
I am not sure if the 18th is a cut off day for the free Expo Only Pass or not.

The (free) Affiliate Marketing Forum looks like a great session as well:
    http://www.searchenginestrategies.co...-marketing.php
Since the description of the Affiliate Marketing Forum uses the phrase "free to all registered attendees" you probably should register for at least the free Expo Only Pass in order to be registered.

Tuesday March 23rd most likely to be popular
The Affiliate Tip Marketing Blog by Shawn Collins says:
There is an open happy hour for Search Engine Strategies NY attendees (and anybody else in NYC) on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 from 5:00pm 7:30pm.
The happy hour is taking place at Dave and Busters in Times Square (234 West 42nd Street), so swing by to network, have a drink, and play a few games.

    RSVP at http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=254357324958.

    Source: http://blog.affiliatetip.com/archive...ate-marketers/
Shawn Collins, Murray Newlands, and Stephanie Lichtenstein will be at Dave and Busters Tuesday, March 23rd from 5 -7 pm.

Looking forward to going back to the OldCastle Pub for a brew. A lot of the attendees make their way down at night. It's like three blocks east of the Hilton.

Are you talking about Tuesday the 23rd or Wednesday the 24th? Or both days?

The Oldcastle has become a popular hangout spot because they do a great job handling the SES crowd. Food is great and the beer is ice cold. It's on 54th between 6th and 7th.

You can catch people there every night of the conferencne

Normally I would not consider SES East preferring the one in the West. But, I got a comp platinum pass worth $1895 for free and I am thinking to go ...

I need to make travel arrangements - Hotel / Air and Pack the bags.

Any suggestions on the hotel?. The Hilton where the conference is seems bit pricey at 239 a night. So, for 4 or 5 nights, it will be well over $1000. For a conference room (used for bath and sleep ... and single), are there any alternate 3 or 4 star hotels near by that are priced approx 100 to 150 a night?
