NHL Winter Classic - January 1st Fenway Park
One of the few times I'll actually watch hockey -

"The third Winter Classic will be held at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts, on January 1, 2010, featuring the Boston Bruins and the Philadelphia Flyers."

I like it because it's played outside and last I heard, forecast calls for snow coming down. That's fun to watch. Caught some of it last time they did this.

Yeah that is always fun to watch. But outdoor hockey...in the snow...at FENWAY! Now THAT is freaking awesome.

This is one of the best things the NHL has ever done. Did I just say something nice about the NHL commish??? What is this world coming to?

Anyways, I think it is great for the sport and drawing the attention it rightfully deserves. Not a big fan of either team, but what can you do? Should be good entertainment.

Forecast is looking grim. Steady rain will NOT be a good thing for that game.

I hope it changes and/or they are wrong, because I look forward to this game every year... And with the new plasma big screen in the basement bar.....

And I'm with @graffitifanboi. It's better than the Super Bowl.

You guys watching from home saw a great hockey game (better than we saw from our seats, though we had a much better view than many), but man, what an experience. The B-2 Stealth Bomber flyover was incredible. What a treat.

I had merely my iPhone to capture some pictures and video, but these give a small idea of what it was like from the stands:

If you hockey fans ever get a chance to get to one of these games in the future, I can't express how fun this was.

the Winter classic was a blast! The experience was worth getting up at 9 on New Years Day. Thank God the Bruins won that game in OT. I don't know what I would have done if we lost 1-0.

Looking forward to next years edition already.

Congrats to everyone in Mass for putting on a great show. I shall now resume disliking you all.

Just remember, the "first" Winter Classic was in Buffalo, the true American capital of hockey. And as per usual, the NHL conspired against us to let Sidney Crosby score on the last shoot out attempt to beat us.
