    Rare palindrome today = 01/02/2010
Just like a RACECAR, today's date can be read coming or going.

This is only the second time* this has happened in (any) of our lifetimes. Really, on the LEVEL.

    * in our "Americanized" style of writing the date.

    The last two:

    10/02/2001
8/31/1380 (I think even Alan missed that one!)

But most of us will get to see 3-10 more:

    11/02/2011
    02/02/2020 (cool one!)
    12/02/2021
    03/02/2030
    04/02/2040
    05/02/2050
    06/02/2060
    07/02/2070
    08/02/2080
    09/02/2090

Micheal, we must have read the same (syndicated news?) article. The one I have is on Page 2 of our Baltimore Sun newspaper (must be a slow news day). Actually, I seldom read the local paper. Mrs. Beachy pointed it out to me this morning. She is far more astute than I.

Looks like you and I are doing a CIVIC DEED in sharing this trivia with our ABW colleagues.

I like palindromes. If you only use the month and day (not the year) then hubby and I both have palindromic birthdates.

Excellent example, AffiliateHound. And very fitting/coincidental considering the post I just made HERE.

Friend just sent me this email ....

A palindrome reads the same backwards as forward. This video reads the exact
opposite backwards as forward. Not only does it read the opposite, the
meaning is the opposite. I was impressed. Iíve been to a Russian circus

and two goat roping and I am not easily impressed, except for some stuff that

happens in La La Land and the other La La Land on the Potomac.

This following video is 1 minute, 44 seconds long. It was submitted in a
contest by a 20-year old. The contest was titled "u @ 50" by AARP. This
video won second place. When they showed it, everyone in the room was
awe-struck and broke into spontaneous applause. So simple and yet so
brilliant. Take a minute and watch it.
