January 2nd, 2010, 10:08 AM #1New Years Resolution! NEW CONTENT is #2 !
I am going to put new content on the back burner during the first few months of 2010 and work on the interior seo of my sites.
Instead of working on getting new stuff indexed, I am going to pick a few hundred pages of existing content..... some I've had as long as 12 years... and show them the love they haven't seen in a long time....
I have 1000's of content pages and many have disappeared from the main stream search results.. Goog, Bing, Yahoo....
I think that I have a good chance of enhancing those " Lost " pages that have been indexed for years and " Refreshing " them....

superCool thinks that sounds like a great idea, and it might not take much effort to get them back in the zone. it would be an interesting experiment to try different minimal changes and see what works best, then you would know which easy tweaks pay off best.

I spent a couple of weeks during Summer '09 eliminating duplicate content between two of my main sites, Goog showed the love and increased the PR on both of them...
I came to this conclusion about working on the interior after actually spending some time reading my own articles....
I forgot how good some of them were -
My original several hundred articles were my best...
Actual experience on-line.....
Now-a-days, I tend to build pages for seo rankings that aren't as good as the "Originals"

Capital idea! You might find ways to split pages & better focus key phrases—get 2-4 pages out of one. Thanx! You got the 'ol noggin' churnin' again.Renée
