    MagPie Twitter Advertising
    Happy New Year ABWer's!

Do any affiliate managers out there have Magpie, the Twitter ad network, as an affiliate? They're driving tons of clicks for my program but no sales. I've reached out to them and hope to connect this week, but any insight from other AM's would be great!

    Thanks,

    Steve

Maggpie is a Twitter ad network that allows people to send ads to their followers. Here's their site. http://be-a-magpie.com/en/ We're not an advertiser with them per se, but rather they've joined our affiliate program and the ads they provide have affiliate links in them. Anyway, last month they accounted for 1/3 of all my clicks with NO sales. I've started a dialouge with them to try and improve the performance, but I was looking for some input from other AM's that might be working with them.

    Thx!

    Steve

Maggpie has been around for a while and I hate every tweet that contains a Maggpie link. I usually unfollow the person who sent it.

I unfollow anyone that tweets out with Magpie. It is not a successful way to advertise at all. Most of the tweets are get rich quick crap.

    hiya -

I'm not sure if this applies but when I plug in a link into twitter, theres a ton of automated bots that will follow that link and grab data ...

So I will ponder that maybe this is what is occuring and is generating clickthrus to your site?

    Just a thought ..
