    A blog post worth reading
Today Sugarrae (Rae Hoffman) twittered the following:

@sugarrae almost three years later, still true, still relevant and still not acted on by 99.9% of those who read it http://tinyurl.com/2tcy7b

She is brilliant and it's worth stopping and taking some time to read. If you are going to Affiliate Summit, the panel she is on where they critique sites is a must go to... you learn a ton by watching that panel show what is right and wrong about the sites they critique.

I second that Deb. Rae really has great insights and is also entertaining to read.

Check out the other posts in her affiliate marketing archives while you are there.
Some good ones I remember liking are: the entire "Reasons You Fail at Affiliate Marketing" series and "Examples in Affiliate Branding."

Her blog is fantastic, but don't follow her on twitter unless you don't mind f bombs She is very outspoken and doesn't mince words.

Like me, she knows that cutting to the chase is the best way to get through the bs.

Really nice blog and a great post. Unfortunately for me I think she is dead on. I have the feeling that Google is right now tightening the screws on lesser affiliate sites. I'm feeling like it's going to get to the point where it requires more effort than I care to give.

I don't see how f bombs is cutting to the chase. You don't have to use foul language to be outspoken and get through the bs.

Anyway, I'm checking out the post and although I'm a newbie and the article starts off by saying it isn't for me, I'm hoping that I can learn something from it none the less.

I'm approaching affiliate marketing as a way of providing income from my sites rather than building sites to generate affiliate income, so I have a slightly different approach to things, but what I've read of the article so far (it is long so I'm reading it in chunks) makes a lot of sense for the way I'm approaching it (i.e. my primary focus is on the content).

I have lots to learn and I'm glad that I've found this forum.

Welcome, LoneWolf! I like the way you think. When your first focus is providing value for your visitors, I think it's much easier to succeed.

Newbie here. I'm just starting to learn about AM, and I'm glad I was able to find this forum and posts like this one. Two months ago I was shopping for ebooks on how to locate wholesale distributors.
