    Who Beat Vegas!?
    Hey Everyone,

Thought it'd be fun to see who left Vegas with more monies than they came with!

I personally doubled my initial investment, who else beat vegas!?

Does it count if I live in Vegas?

I drove over to the Rio, hung out all afternoon on Monday and then drove home. I'm probably out a few bucks in gas, but that's probably evened out by the free drinks I had. So, I guess I'd have to say that I broke even.

WooHoo! I did! I did! All of...$1.15 AHEAD

It took me five days to do that but I had a blast all along the way.

Seriously - I am not a gambler. So I start with 5 twenties - with which to have "fun." With some help from Kim (a former "checks" company AM whom many of you know ) I had a nice run with a slots machine last evening (Tuesday). When I cashed out I had $1.15 more than I started with last Friday.

Oops - I didn't consider the "pounds" ahead - maybe I need to go back and amend my earlier post.

Thank you, Michael, for participating in the Girly Checks Button contest. On the last evening of Summit we were contacted by the "first" winner in our contest. She only won $10 from us - but parleyed that into over $400 in winnings at a slot machine. WooHoo! We were happy to hear about her success/luck.

Billy Kay waited until AFTER my poker lesson to hit the $1000 deal, but I came out even for the trip, which means I only left what I initially brought. I did spend a lot of time talking to people I know while they were in the ATM line.

It took the roulette table on the last night to get me there, but I was up $140.

I took $100 to gamble and played slots at three casino. As I said it was a gamble and lost it all. I try for the once in a life time progressive pots. If I won $1,000,000 I was going to buy a Lamborghini and surprise the kids.

If the SAS craps chips were real $$ I would have been up BIG. But the only gamble I made was to try to get to In-N-Out before my plane left....I def. won on that one.

Here's a funny clip - my cab driver did a Homer Simpson impression while waiting in the drive thru line at In-N-Out(not an affiliate link): http://ifyoucanstomachit.com/2010/01...d-vegas-style/

I'm down $60 including the free $20 at the Rio. One of my coworkers went up $250 on blackjack at the Palms though!

I didn't gamble, not even $0.01, but my colleague spent $30 and left with $60.

Yes, first I won $10 from GirlyChecks, I threw in another $10 of my own and walked away from the slots with $412. Bought my kids teeshirts, got my husband some cigars, ate a simple dinner and donated the rest to Red Cross for Haiti and the Tumor Foundation.

Thanks to Girly Checks for the lucky chips.

(Oh I did lose about $60 using other money and had a blast playing the slots with Adam aka Rollerblader.)

I also lost about 4 pounds
