    1. Write a notification email to google
    2. Ignore it
    3. Try to hack it or email the webmaster with fury

What is a blog spam site, and why do you need to do anything about it? And you should never even suggest hacking no matter what this site does.

Jiang, do you mean people using the comments to spam-promote their url?

If so, just delete it. Some blog software gives you some control over who can leave comments - you could look into that as well.

I wouldn't waste your time writing to Google or taking any other kind of action. Your chances of achieving anything are slim to none. A spammer won't give a **** about your email, and hacking someone else's site is a BIG no.

Oh--someone spammed YOUR blog (as opposed to a blog that spams)!

My first instinct is to say "just ban 'im from your blog."

If he gets by the ban, set up a filter so the URL he puts in the spam automatically turns into asterisks (like a swear word. www.******.com). This will not only destroy the ad value of the spam, but make it so no PR is passed to him because it'll deaden the link.

After seeing that happen a couple of times, he probably won't waste any more time trying to post on your blog since it won't do him any good. This is assuming that he's trying to sell stuff or get pagerank.

As for hacking, it's against the Terms of ABW to discuss doing things which are illegal. Hacking is illegal in most if not all jurisdictions...

Well, that kinda thing should decrease now at least on Google's Blogger, don't know about the rest.
