I've been getting a few emails and PMs from affiliates curious to see what Kai (my 3 month old son) looks like.

Some good friends of ours have a son named Kai. They're Asian though. Not such an uncommon name for them.

To answer your question, Ladidah, Kai (sounds like sky, my, fly, etc) means "the ocean" in Hawaiian. It also means the ocean in Japanese.
My husband and I are deep lovers of the ocean. We are both Aquarians and love water. Kai's middle name is Aiden, which means fire or "little fire", which we thought was appropriate because he was such a little fire cracker when I was pregnant. So, we thought it fitting.
Ultimately, he's named after fire and water, two signs that are essential to life. and, coincidentally, happen to be what I have tattooed on my back. Fire and water...surrounding the words "faith, hope, and love".
