Anyone else having Browser Overflow issues?
I've never seen this kind of error until this past week, and usually closing FireFox helps, but today it did not and I had to clear my ABW cookies. I'm getting a Bad Request - browser headers already sent - error when I try to access ABestWeb.

I'm running Windows Vista 64bit with Firefox 3.6. I upgraded from 3.5.6 when the error kept happening, and it happened on the upgraded version as well.

I've been using FF for about three years and never had a problem, but for about a week now I've gotten this message when I try to get in to ABW:
    Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.
No problems with any other site.

I've been using Safari for ABW since, with no problem.

Try turning off or updating addons. Might be having trouble with newer FF version.

Add-ons can cause problems like that. I started having problems after one Add-on update in mid-January, then updated FF to the newest version and the problem continued. I reverted the Add-on to the previous version and the problems disappeared. There was a very long delay before FF would even open - 10 to 15 seconds wait. Reverting the Add-on update took care of the problem.

It started for me last week as well. No updates or plugins had been added.

I'm not seeing the problem with FF 3.5.7. Is there a certain page where you enter that does it? I'll upgrade to 3.6.0 and see what happens.

It has only happened for me with ABestWeb, but I have tried loading various internal pages with the same result.

And I have changed nothing, no new plugins, updates, addons, etc..

Yup, when it happens not a single page at all will load. I almost always come in on the new posts page, but once the overflow error shows up, nothing at all is accessible. Today I haven't had issues since I cleared the cookies this morning. It's good to know others are experiencing this, I will give a heads up to iNet to check this thread.

It might be an old addon that is not working right with newer FF.

Try disabling some of the older/less supported ones. And or run updates on them.

I've made a couple of tweaks to the web server.

This issue appears to be related to the size of the thread_view cookie that vBulletin creates. I spent today and yesterday browsing several hundred threads to make a large enough cookie and after restarting the web server with a few changes I haven't gotten blocked.

If anyone is still having issues with being blocked report back here and I'll keep digging into it.

I had this happening, too, but it seems to be running smoothly now, thanks Mat.

For future reference, when it happened, all I had to do (FF 3.6.0) was go into the cache and clear the ABestWeb cookies. Thankfully they were pretty near the top and thus fast and easy to find. Then an F5 refresh and it worked again for a while.

I just had this problem last night and this morning. I had to clear my cookies in order to get back in.
