PaintShop Pro is what I recommend - I think it's only about £50 or so. It's very easy to use and great for retouching and mucking about with images and photos.

A decent paint package is as essential as a good web editor

Hey Cosmo, Not sure if you want to utilize your own logo or try anew... I would recommend Phil at surelogos.com, he makes killer logos for 25 bux.

I second the Paint Shop Pro recommendation. Not sure how I ever lived without it.

There are lots of tutorials all over the Internet for using PSP. I have been using it for about 3-4 years and I think it is wonderful. Like anything else it takes some time to get to know, but once you do it is indispensable.

It's a lot simpler to use (and cheaper) than PhotoShop. I got the boxed copy which came with a nice manual for version 7 - I guess the new version can still be bought like that.

    Amazon will have it.
