    Hello everybody ,

    i just took a little look at my stats and since a few days the msn bot is crawling my pages hevily. i used the paid inlucsion service for the msn index but only for my index page. and someone told me that msn wouldnt crawl my pages and index all the subpages and minisites. so i was already a bit upset about the money i paid for the inclusion. so my question: if the msn bot is spidering pages heavily will he also index them even if they were never submitted ?

    would be nice if somebody could help me.

    I never paid for inclusion to MSN and they have crawled my site.

    In fact, just recently MSN leap frogged over Yahoo in my stats for search engine traffic. So much to the point that my daily traffic has more than double... pretty kewl!

    Our site has been 'deep crawled' by msnbot for about 2 months now, but a search on the msn site only show 2 very outdated pages (6 month old +). I suspect they are working on building their index and tweaking their bot before then put any real results online. The first few times msnbot came through it's bahavior was bad, really messed up the urls and basically got a few hundred 404 errors (it was like it took 2 different urls and joined them, it was looking for some really, really wierd urls that no one would ever have used).

    Hello Cosmo, I have been selling wireless and internet access as well as our own reselling program positioned for store locations on the net since 1996 and have never paid 1 penny for advertising and I have been approached by Yahoo, Infoseek, etc.. making personal calls to my office, etc. Take some good worthwhile advice, keep your content fresh, clean and exciting and you will get well noticed, it takes time but the pay off is worth the while.

    Thanks,

    Who knows when they will drop INK in favor of their own index, but as long as they're crawling and you have links in, you should be fine.

    Google still rules for us, although Yahoo! is gaining fast. I'm looking forward to seeing what MSN does in the future, but for now our MSN visitors are few...

    Google still rules here too, but MSN is making a nice move.
    here are some stats;

    Google 53.5 %
    MSN 15.6 %
    Yahoo 15 %

    I've been getting some nice crawls from msnbot lately as well. It's my understanding that MSN won't start displaying their own results until July 1st. I read in another thread here that that's when they're planning to introduce their new search. I can't wait for that to go live!!
