You guys were very helpful last time I had a random question so I thought I could ask another.... I can't access paypal.com from any of my computers using my high speed connection. HOWEVER, I can access paypal.com using my AOL account. I can only think of two things (1) my IP is somehow blocked, or, (2) my computer is somehow blocking that site? I looked at my host file and didnt see anything relating to paypal. Is there another file similar to my host file I can check?

Please no comments on how paypal sucks.

    Thanks!

Here are some diagnostics you could post to let us diagnose what the problem could be.

    Does it resolve?
    c:\>nslookup paypal.com

    A traceroute:
    c:\> tracert paypal.com

    Also see if this works:
    c:\>telnet paypal.com 80

If you're using Norton Internet Security, it can also block certain websites, although I don't know why PayPal would be blocked.

Thanks for everyones help. I read the article but It didnt help me (my encryption was already above 128). So, I tried running those commands and this is what I got:

    nslookup paypal.com:
    Non-authoritiative answer
    name: paypal.com
    Address: 64.4.241.16

    tracert paypal.com:
Looks okay until it hits the paypal site. Then I get a bunch of "Request timed out"

    telnet paypal.com 80:
"Could not open connection to the host, on port 80. A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond......"

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!
