What are the best screen recorders?
    Hi guys,

I want to make some training videos for my affiliate programs and am not sure the best screen recording software to use. I need to record my voice as well as what I'm showing on screen.

I found stuff on oRipa Video Recorder 1.2.3 and Screen Recorder Gold 2.2 but I don't know how good they are.

What do you guys use? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I have a free version of Camtasia and I know others have used that one as well -

Not sure if that's best or not, don't do too much recording.

I have used Camtasia in the past (for a college project) and it is simple, straight forward and very easy to use. If you would like more features you could always go with the paid Studio version.

I recommend CamStudio - it is simple, free, powerful,
It doesn't have so much features as Camtasia, but for 99% of my recordings it was enough

(BTW: I own also payed copy of Camtasia, but I still use CamStudio much more as Camtasia)

Camtasia is expensive but probably worth it.

Might try the trial and see how much you can get done in the free time.

Then see if you are addicted.

Screenr is a great and simple one and is web-based.
Jing is another good one...little more robust than Screenr, but it is local to your PC.

I use both to record screen casts for my affiliates.

CamStudio is Free (OpenSource) and works great, although it's missing a lot of great features that Camtasia has

Camtasia has everything you would ever need, but it's pretty expensive ($299)

Jing is from the makers of Camtasia. It is also free, but again, is limited.

I use Camtasia Studio and it is well worth the price.
