Oh man, that's 1 and a half hours long. In a nutshell, sugary foods tend to have a lot of empty calories and if you take in more than you expend (calories), you gain weight. And it'll rot you, sugar, but it tastes so good tho

Robert H. Lustig, MD, UCSF Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Endocrinology, explores the damage caused by sugary foods. He argues that fructose (too much) and fiber (not enough) appear to be cornerstones of the obesity epidemic through their effects on insulin.

Yes you're at a lot higher risk of Type 2 Diabetes when your diet has a lot of fructose/sugar in it.

interesting in the video is, that coca cola contains a lot of salt .... this keeps you thirsty, you need to drink more and more

To make it tasteful they need to put inside a lot of sugar to beat the salty taste

Salt is maybe worst as sugar in this case, because it keeps the water in your body and force you to drink more and more

Good Review & summary. When i open the link and saw it's one and a half hours, my reaction is "oh my!", this summary helps a lot. Maybe i'll check the video tomorrow.
