I just received a CJ merchant email stating November transactions were extended due to their recent conversion from pixel over to batch reporting.
What I'm confused about is what's the difference between the 2? I know what batch reporting is.
And here's the really stupid question - if a merchant is using pixel reporting, does that mean the link REQUIRES the use of the 1x1 pixel image on a text link?
Thanks for helping to un-confuse me.

Actually, it's the CJ merchant who is confused. The pixel isn't used to track sales info. It registers impressions. They shouldn't have called it pixel reporting. I've always thought of the two methods as batch processing and real-time processing.
The only real difference is where the sales and PID/AID info goes after a sale is made. With real-time processing the transaction data goes straight to CJ while the batched data gets stored on the merchants system until it is sent over to CJ.
Hope that helps,
