eek.. My CleverMoms Twitter account has been hacked... trying to get this resolved.. if you are following me I did not post gift card or apple ipod win thingies.. ugh, how this sucks.. and what sucks more? Trying to get help from twitter when you are hacked... you have to log in to submit a support ticket and you can't log in when you have been hacked, lol.

You were hacked by someone that changed your settings? That is interesting, usually the hackers just log in and spread crap via your account. Then you are able to log in and change your password and all is well.

Hope you get it resolved quickly and let us know what they said.

This is why I don't use games or many apps. I stick with the well known ones and prefer the ones that use the authorization that doesn't give them access to my password.

well, i knew the log in and password but they apparently changed the password... I had to submit a support ticket under a different account since I can't log into that account... I thought twitter was pretty big and well known though...

Twitter is big but they really lack security and they really have a big security hole flaw on that site. Even when you sign up, you don't really receive any type of email that gives you any registration materials. It was a small site that just boomed up in the last year.

Hopefully you did get your account back though seeing as you posted early this month.

I really wonder what could have led to the hacking. Hope you could update us on how they managed to hack your account, please, just so we know how to avoid it in future.

I have no idea.. I put in a support ticket, never got a response.. then i went in and realized I could have the password reset if i put in my cell phone number I had associated with the account.. I did and updated it to a very hard password...
The password I had was hard so who knows how they got in.. anyway, i have it back now

I know, I am so unreliable when I am in hack mode.. maybe that is a new multiple personality disorder... multihackality disorder.. I should consult the DSM and see if there has been an update... hehe

Glad you got it fixed Anne. One of my less used twitter accounts got hacked last summer and I didn't even realize it until my friend asked me why i was sending out offers for some erectile type things LOL. I used the same reset method you did. You've really had a crappy couple of weeks. Hope its not related to that other thread.

oh my... erectile dysfunction? such a common issue and it really needs so much coverage online it seems.. Seriously, though, for some odd reason, I can't seem to remember what it was like before erectile dysfunction ads were online.. is that scary or what? Is erectile dysfunction synonymous with the internet? OOPS off topic, lol...
