Why don't the merchants put their names or something to identify them on the checks!!!! If they can't do that can't they at least send us an e-mail when we join telling us what name to expect on the check? Would that be so hard?

Come on merchants! Not even all witches are mindreaders, you know.

I may be crediting the wrong merchant or worse yet getting mad at the wrong merchant.

Can anybody tell me who uses Ky One Stop, LLC and who uses EZ Webshopping, Inc?

It is hard to follow because not all the merchants use the first of the month as the cut off dates.

I think I know who they probably are but I am not positive. And, this is upsetting.

Yes, but which one? The amounts are almost the same on these checks and neither is what BigDaddy owed, not even close.

I used to think it was BigDaddy, but maybe two are using the same service.

Well, it is a heck of a thing when we two don't even know who is paying us. If we can embarrass ourselves by admitting it, there are a lot of others confused, you can bet.

Well, I am going to the bank and cashing them, anyway. I am sure I earned it.

Thanks, you two merchants, where ever you are. Let's hope I don't pull your links for non-payment!

    Upsetting?

After evaluating the case, I think that I would allow to be spammed with checks from unknown people.

OK, thanks, Haiko. Jim called and we got it worked out.

The reason the numbers weren't close is that we were working from a different set of dates. Apparently, the payment date is figured from 21st to the 20th and the stats I was looking at were from the 1st to the 31st. Made a big difference.

So, I am glad to have that answered. I was really confused where the checks were coming from. I was sure one was from you guys but no way could I get the numbers to work out. And, with no name on the check to say "Yes, this is BigDaddy Smokes," it was confusing, especially since there was more than one that I was uncertain about.

Now, If I can find out who the other merchant is, I might get on the right track around here.

BTW, that Jim guy is very nice.

P.S. Now that I know what's what with the name, BigDaddy's links are safe from the coming carnage. They pay.

No, but apparently this isn't an isolated problem. BDS is addressing it and the one you linked to is also.

I think there may be quite a few merchants sending out checks with no identifiers that link them to the merchant.

Hopefully, my original frustrated post will help.

The only problem that I can see regarding those kind of checks without a merchant identifiers is that on April 15, we might get in trouble with Uncle Sam.

If we make more than $600.00 on the year and the merchant report it and we not, we might get a penalty from the IRS.

If we make more than $600.00 on the year and the merchant don't report it and we do, the merchant might get in trouble with the IRS and we just get ........................

    Sal.

Note to merchants: As long as you pay me for my marketing effort, you can send me all the checks you want, even from under your dog or cat names, I will not complain one bit unless the checks bounce.

If you want total confusion about who is paying you and how much and would like to receive checks that don't match any figure you've seen in any stats anywhere, then I would strongly recommend becoming a gambling affiliate.

There's nothing quite like getting checks from offshore holding companies and never being able to figure out where it's come from. My accountant loves it...he laughs and laughs until he almost seems tearful at the amusement of it all. At least, I think that's the reason.

Hey! I found a number that almost matches the mystery check. And, it is from a merchant for whom this would be the first check. But, the merchant stats still have my commissions listed as unpaid.

I had to take a day trip to the Bay Area today but I'm glad that Haiko and Jim were able to answer your questions. Jim is a good guy and the folks that spent time with him in Vegas know that.

That's it!!! Thank you so much! I was about ready to dump them, too.

Still going to if I can get a feed from another program I know of. I am under paid with this one and too many reversals.
