I think this was a caching issue but we have this one fixed.

Jeremy, I'm seeing the exact same thing. Those banners don't load for me. If I load the images through a proxy, though, they load okay. These have been like this for a couple months. We definitely need to dig deeper, as I'm sure BurgerBoy and I aren't the only ones who don't see those ads.

I checked these again this morning and they seem to work for me - strange. I'll add this back to the list for review though. Thanks Michael.

The banners load on some pages and don't on other pages. It's random whether they load or not.

FWIW, 2mdn.net is a Doubleclick domain (that's how our ads are served).

I can't think of anything on my computer or router that should be blocking ads. I had the same problem with my previous computer (I just switched to a new one recently).

Hmm, looks like it might be IE8's "InPrivate Filtering". But even disabling that doesn't bring the images that were previously blocked back. Odd. Might be a caching problem.

With IE having 60% of the market and probably close to half of that (and growing) being IE8, this is a major problem for advertising.

I think maybe the image urls are bad. Some images show and some do not being served from the same source.

It HAS to do with the image.

99% of them are showing up and a few don't.

What's the common denominator between the images that DO Show and those that DON'T ???

    My 2 cents...

Well, I didn't think about that - but - I've been using IE8 for at least 2 years now and the image problem here only started 2 or 3 months ago.

True - most of them show up on my computer too but some of them don't. That would seem to elimate IE8 blocking the images or none of them would show up.

I just loaded this page on my iPhone (Safari) and the image that doesn't show up in IE8 shows up there. It's gotta be something in IE8.

But if ONE shows up, shouldn't all of them show?

And it's the same images that don't load.

    Nothing random about it.

Just bad images or the way they are loaded into your ad server...

    Bad code?

Where are the images being pulled from?

Advertisers server or do you keep them localized?
