How long does it take Hostgator to give commission?
My friend used my affiliate id to purchase a hosting plan at Hostgator. It has been 15 days. How long does it usually take them to give out commission?

Word to the wise. They dont pay. Go do a search on them, while they are a good hosting company they are major scammers and forums are filled with people who have not been paid by them. Avoid them at all costs!

Like everyone says above, good host...affiliate scammer. Within the last two years I have almost every sale gets "extended" because of such reason and a high reversal rating. I even caught them red handed returning a sale because they said the user didn't stay on. I knew the user personally and he still hosts with them today.

To your question, about 60+ days to be approved then whatever payment date it falls on.

Can I send an email to them and ask for the commission? This is so clear that the sale was made thru my site?

You can ask but that doesn't mean they will pay you - they probably will not pay you.

Pls let me get you guys right. Are u saying that they don't pay at all? I just joined their affiliate program and was quite happy when i got accepted because there's no denying the fact that they are one of the top ten best host companies in the world and the service they provide is invaluable. If this is true then it will be very difficult for me to stop promoting them. I love hostgator.

Im just pray it's not true cos i've been promoting some wacky hosts over time and i'm not ussually happy when i see mostly bad reviews about these hosts eg iPower. Now that i've found the ideal host it turns out that they don't pay...what an irony.
