March 16th, 2010, 07:47 PM #1Saving SEO from Being Trademarked
You all hear about this Search Engine Land blog post. Meet The 25-Year-Old Who Saved “SEO” From Being Trademarked
Finally after what it feels like has been years of industry fighting, this deal is finally done. I give HUGE kudos to Rhea Drysdale for standing up for all SEOs. Wondered why one person had to stand up for the rest of the community. There were some organizations that could have stepped up.

Trademarking SEO would have been like trademarking "milk", "bread", "water". I wonder, if Rhea hadn't fought it, would Gambert have been granted the trademark?
