Tuffymae, you are treading on thin ice, you have had links removed and also commented in a pretty old thread (I removed your post from that thread and closed it). Please check the rules and watch the dates on threads to be sure you are posting in "current events" and not something long gone.

We want you to stick around and not get banned right off the bat

I didn't see the link that was removed, just saw the mod note that one was. I was more concerned that you get off on the right foot here.

Uh-oh. Trouble is brewing. You may want to re-think that statement. Try doing some reading.

Split the discussion off of the music thread it was in. I didn't expect a drawn out discussion to ensue. I was trying to nicely get you to check the rules and the dates of the threads you reply in. Tuffymae, if you want to stick around, I'd suggest checking the rules and starting fresh. If you just want to profile spam and link drop, your stay will be shortlived.

We don't need any attitudes here either tuffymae. It only takes one click for a mod to ban you.

Participation in online communities can be a powerful marketing tool, and demonstrates a lot about a marketer's understanding of the art.

When visiting another's home it's good manners to honor the house rules, even if the reasons for those rules are not immediately apparent to you. Manners are not just decorum, they are the fiber of our social fabric that allows us to earn trust and weave our networks.

My preferred analogy for a forum is to a neighborhood bar. Let's say you walk in, you get comfy, you have a couple of laughs and a couple of drinks and you make some new friends. You will return to that bar and possibly bring some old friends along the next time.

But if you walk in with a crap attitude and start picking fights, showing off, abusing the regulars and criticizing the decor you will not be made to feel welcome. So you either decide you're going to try to fit in or you find a new watering hole that better suits your temperament.

    It's not at all complicated.

Sigh. Google "azam meo" to see the real tuffymae. Some newbies deliberately make a "bait" post to incite a reaction, even if it's only an "out of curiosity" visit to their site. We've all grabbed the bait at one time or another...cease & resist!
