    Firefox Screen Capture
Everybody but me probably has a Firefox screen capture add-on. Here is a really nice one I found today called Screen Capture Elite.

Screen capture utilities give you more control over what you save where print screen does just your screen.

Remember this will only work on items that you are viewing in Firefox. For other window screen shots you would have to use something else. I have never used Print Screen and usually use IrfranView for those occasions.

How does it compare to Snag It? My wife loves using this at work and would like to have it at home. I told her I could probably find a free comparable version.

I guess that depends on your operating system. Windows 7 (and Vista too, I think) allows you to drag a box around the part you want to capture/print.

Cntrl + Prt Scr + Paste to PhotoScape Editor + Crop + Resize + Save
works pretty nicely for me. And free. Can also add text or perform all kinds of other tasks while in PhotoScape.

I like the ScreenGrab FF add on. It lets you copy or save either
    1. The complete page/frame
    2. The visible portion
    3. A Selection (choose which part of the page you want)
    4. The Window.
