Is it just me or does anyone else see a problem with Goldspeeds landing page? I wondered why sales stopped. I wonder how long what I see has been there. Am I over reacting?? [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif[/img]

Yep I see it the popup telling them to call or email. hmm... what a dirty merchant!

About the only legit reason I could see is if they've had an inordinate amount of people asking them questions before buying (so they think they would significantly increase overall sales).
But since other jewelry sites don't seem to have that problem, I'd say yeah...it's probably for tricks!
Although I would think the *actual effect* would be all-around anti-conversionary, much to the merchant's chagrin. IMO, when people have come, CC in hand and ready to buy, they don't want to see things that would hold up the works (like the prospect of having to email or even call). Those "super-ready" customers would just go to a different site that doesn't mention any holdups or hitches in the ordering process, rather than take the hints in the popop, I would think.
