Damn, they suck. Multiple listings from the same domain on different searches. So much for them trying to fight SPAM. Seen some pages that were nothing but FindWhat links of some sort. Not impressed, i know they still have some work to do.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. I have some sites that have 4 or 5 listings on the first page.

Some of my sites have 4 or 5 listings on the first page and I don't like that, they aren't spammy sites.
I'm getting back many keywords I lost with Google.
I've seen worst results before. Too early to make a definitive statement but we need some fresh air in the SE world.
    Thanks Trust for the link.

I wonder if this is an indication that it won't be long before it goes live.

There's been speculation it could be July, and on the 1st we get a preview.

Maybe if the feedback they get is good they will release it, and if it's not then it's back to the drawing board.

I think they should just try to buy INK from Yahoo or buy Teoma (most relevant SE out there IMO), buy something. I've tried many different searches and if this is any indication of the final product, Google and Yahoo will be very happy. I know some might have multiple listings on the front page but i just can't see anybody using this for their everyday search. It's just one big mess. JMO.

Looks like they gave themselves some nice listings, #1 for shopping and online shopping.

I don't think it's too bad. The results look fairly relevant, though they definitely need to cluster results. They also fall foul of the same thing that plagued Inktomi in that they don't seem very able to assign the correct URL to a redirect. Expect to see lots of affiliate URLs in the index instead of the merchant URLs if this goes live as is.

Well, they use keyword density as part of the algo that's for sure :

Looks like they've already made some changes. My site went from #1 to #31 on msn.com.

Wretched. I did several searches and kept seeing the same domains over and over, but with different pages. I wouldn't use it, in its current condition.

This is funny. After doing many searches this is probably the worst results of any SE i've seen in a long time from the user perspective. Some affiliates will be very happy, type in books, and check out the first result. Type in online auctions. Ebay is there but check out the sites ahead of them. Crazy. If they go live with anything like this they will get killed in the press. I've been reading some other forums with some thinking it's great, probably people with some freak page 1 listings, but in the end the user will go elsewhere.

Looked fairly similar to inktomi's results, which at least would get them off to a safe start.
Following everyone else is a GREAT way to become average.

Are you sure you're searching from:
    http://techpreview.search.msn.com/

Doesn't look like INK at all for any of the searches i've done.

"Expect to see lots of affiliate URLs in the index instead of the merchant URLs if this goes live as is."

That's for sure, i would expect to see Netflix on page 1 for online dvd rentals. MSN loves SPAM.

They're loving some of my pages too, but people won't love it. When this goes live i'll take any wagers that the % of people that use MSN for search will drop.

My sites are listed very well. That means it is a good search engine with quite relevant results. Although they should dump those few spammy sites listed above mine.

I agree with Trust - not good. That first result for books shows that. I also know which of my sites are good and which are crap, and the crap ones do better in this.

Something is wrong. Can't see any big names. We just have to wait, there's a lot of room for improvements.

I don't see results for anything... only one result (themselves) for "shopping"

I didn't see anything that made me want to run around kicking over outhouses...I think it still needs more work, not quite ready for prime time.

Looks pretty basic and the same to me. They are going to show some of the stuff, but final will have allot more features they don't want competition to see yet.

Some sites have ben shifted around and now rank higher, but that's it.

But remember, it takes time. I am sure if they are building it from scratch, like they say, they will beat out the competition, eventually.

It's a little slow and buggy, I keep getting this error:

    Search Error
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MSN Search is temporarily unable to process your request.
Please try again in a few minutes.

    EID: f:651496928 - 1041:1041:10004:1059

    HC: 71d61b15

I notice the results changed from early this morning. I was really high up for some key phrases but not anymore. Seems like they're making adjustments.
